Mission: Cybersecurity joins ECSM 2025!

European Cybersecurity Month (ECSM): What It Is and Why It Matters for Digital Security?

October marks the most crucial month in every cybersecurity specialist's calendar. It is when Europe unites its efforts to celebrate European Cybersecurity Month (ECSM).

This pan-European campaign is coordinated by ENISA (the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity) and, in Poland, by NASK (the National Research Institute). It has one primary objective: to raise public cybersecurity awareness about online threats and build safe digital habits.

We are thrilled to announce that Mission: Cybersecurity is officially joining the ECSM celebrations! This initiative is extremely important to us, as education has been at the core of our mission for years. ECSM allows us to join forces and collectively raise awareness of digital threats.

Our Mission for October: #MissionCyberHabit

As part of ECSM, we are launching a light yet substantive social media campaign built around our key slogan: "1 Day = 1 Habit".

Why are we doing this?
Because today, in the age of increasingly advanced cyberattacks, digital security is no longer solely the domain of experts. It is becoming a shared responsibility.

Our objective is to engage every individual user (B2C), educating them on fundamental threats and fostering better daily digital habits.

Throughout October, we will be publishing a series of micro-actions and checklists that are simple to implement but have a fundamental impact on your security. We will show, among other things, how to effectively protect against phishing, how to create strong passwords, and why enabling Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is so essential.

The entire campaign will culminate in the "Cyber Challenge" – a quiz testing knowledge that allows people to check their ability to recognize cyber traps. Together, we will create a strong, digital shield.

Supported by Our Partners – Together for a Safer Internet

Our educational mission is strengthened by the support of key partners who share our common goal of building digital awareness.

This year, we are supported in the ECSM celebrations by:

  • ITSS  (IT Systems and Solutions Sp. z o.o.)

Jointly, we will promote good cybersecurity habits, share our expertise, and encourage the community to actively participate in the #MissionCyberHabits (#MisjaCyberNawyki) challenge.

We are proud that our original materials can also be found on the official ECSM initiatives map at https://bezpiecznymiesiac.pl/ecsm/inicjatywy/. We want cybersecurity knowledge to be accessible to everyone, regardless of age or location.

We have submitted the following educational initiatives, available to all interested parties:

  1. Cyber Johnny in the lands of the internet - interactive cybersecurity training for children.
  2. Educational Package for Parents and Teachers: Children's Safety Online – materials supporting lessons/conversations with the youngest (in PL).
  3. Special Mission: Phishing – interactive training that helps understand the nature of this threat.
  4. Phishing Quiz – a publicly available quiz to test your knowledge.
